About Me

The Art & The Artist

My journey with rope began as a curiosity and evolved into a lifelong practice. Today, I share this art form through teaching, performance, and private sessions.

About

I discovered shibari

My Story

I discovered shibari over a decade ago, drawn to its meditative quality and the profound connection it creates between people. What started as personal exploration became a dedicated practice, leading me to study with masters in Japan and Europe.

Today, my work sits at the intersection of tradition and contemporary expression. I believe in honoring the roots of this art form while adapting it to modern contexts and individual needs.

Whether I'm teaching a beginner their first single column tie or creating an intricate suspension for a performance, my approach remains the same: presence, patience, and profound respect for the person in the rope.

Philosophy

What Guides My Practice

1

Safety First

Every session begins with clear communication about physical and emotional boundaries. I maintain rigorous safety standards and ongoing education in risk-aware practices.

2

Consent as Foundation

Enthusiastic, informed consent is non-negotiable. This means ongoing check-ins, clear agreements, and the absolute right to pause or stop at any moment.

3

Connection Over Technique

While technical skill matters, the true art lies in the connection between rigger and model. Every tie is a conversation, a shared moment of trust and presence.
